Today is Stroke Prevention Day

A perfect reminder to pause, take care of ourselves, and look out for the people we love.
Stroke can affect anyone — but the good news is that many strokes are preventable through simple, healthy choices. Small daily habits really do make a big difference.

A few ways to protect your health:
• Take regular exercise – around 20 minutes of moderate movement a day
• Eat a healthy, balanced diet
• Take time to relax and manage stress
• Stop smoking or va**ng
• Drink less than 14 units of alcohol a week, over three or more days

For more information on lowering your risk of stroke visit

Today (29 January 2026) is Stroke Prevention Day 2026 and we're encouraging you to monitor your blood pressure. That's because high blood pressure is the biggest risk factor for stroke.
