Muscle tension and Trigger Points could be causing your headaches and migraines
Symptoms such as:
๐๐ผ Pain around the ear
๐๐ผ Pain behind the eyes
๐๐ผ Pain Across the forehead
๐๐ผ Ringing in the ear
๐๐ผ Red, watery eye
๐๐ผ TMJ (Jaw pain)
Can all be a sign of trigger points in the head and neck muscles
Trigger points are areas of muscle that get stuck, (there is a technical definition but โstuckโ seems appropriate and easier to digest ๐)
When an area of muscle gets stuck, the muscle canโt function as it should, blood and nutrients are restricted to that area, and pain can be felt in that area, but also, it can refer pain to other areas
โ๐ผ One thing to note, a lot of the time where youโre feeling pain isnโt where it originates from
Trigger points have a characteristic pain pattern for each muscle, which helps us therapists identify which muscle, or quite often, muscles, are causing the issue
And once you get a trigger point in one muscle, you can get a domino effect where they pop up in surrounding muscles too.. oh how we love trigger points โผ๏ธ
Iโll do a separate post on them soon to explain in more detail
But Iโm here to hunt these pesky points down and help relieve your symptoms
Iโm pretty booked up over the next couple of weeks but there are a couple of spaces in Boughton Monchelsea
With days, evenings and Saturdays available
Just an fyi - I only offer a certain number of spaces per week, once theyโre booked I block out any remaining spaces
If you have any questions please ask
