                                            From chattering to chanting…
At The Wellbeing Link’s weekly support group in Northfleet, I walked into a room full of lively conversations, coffee-fuelled catch-ups, and brilliant energy from a wonderful older crowd.
(The Wellbeing Link is a community organisation supporting people with life-affecting health conditions with a strong focus on alleviating loneliness and isolation — offering weekly support groups, complementary therapies, and opportunities to connect, relax, and recharge.)
We began with rhythm games using our names, building playful collective beats — laughter, claps, with a few cheeky shakers and bells thrown in for good measure.
And then… silence. Stillness.
Fifteen minutes of carefully layered vibration and sound — not just heard, but felt — filled the space. You could sense the room soften, settle, and shift.
As Betty put it:
“I felt like I went on a journey… and then came back into the room.”
A brief moment of calm — but a powerful one.
Thank you for having me and see you at the next one in Dartford 🙏
**DM me if you know a group or community that would love something like this? I’m always happy to bring sound and rhythm into new spaces.**
