Andy and I delivering a catastrophic bleeding workshop today to 6 students aged 16-18.

We are both enormously proud of how you all approached the subject, the way you conducted yourselves and the maturity shown dealing with catastrophic bleeding injuries.

Direct pressure, indirect pressure, tourniquets & improvised tourniquets and wound packing.

A massive well done for not only learning these skills, but also demonstrating them perfectly. ❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

🚨 In the year ending March 2025, there were about 53,000 recorded offences involving a knife or sharp instrument in England and Wales (House of commons library) 🚨

🚨 Approximately 20,000 cases of major trauma annually are estimated in England, leading to thousands of deaths and many more serious injuries.

🚨This includes road traffic collisions, falls, penetrating trauma (including stabbings), and other serious injuries that often involve significant bleeding(Vascularsociety.org)

🚨 whilst prevention is undoubtably the best scenario, we are passionate about giving people the skills, tools and confidence to act in a catastrophic bleeding situation.

🚨Our 3 hour catastrophic bleeding workshops are theory and practical, hands on based training sessions giving YOU the skills to deal with them!
