We are busier than ever at WELLIES and we’re looking to recruit some more minibus drivers to our volunteer team. We’re looking for reliable, careful, considerate drivers to pick WELLIES participants up in Ashbourne, Tamworth, Lichfield, Swadlincote or Burton. Pick ups are 9/9.30 returning at 3pm. If you help out one day a week, we’d love to hear from you. There would be a minibus ambassador on the minibus to look after the people, welcome new people etc, your job would just be to drive the bus! We run in six week blocks with a long break over the summer. Pop us a message or give us a call if you’d like a chat or to come and have a taster session to see if it’s for you. We have a wonderful team of 28 volunteers working with us each week and have regular training sessions and social/ thank you events. Julie 07971 666474

Staff and learning support volunteers took part in Shared Reading Training today with Derby Book Festival. It was a great day and we enjoyed time together thinking about how we already include shared reading in our courses and how we could build upon this.
