🍃Meet the Maker, Sam Entwisle🍃
Hello! This is me, Sam the Herbalist, in my therapy room in Malmesbury.
I’ve been a qualified medical herbalist and a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists since 1999. The thing I love most about being a herbalist is seeing my patients and watching their progress. Some of this is due to the tincture in their bottle or the herbal tea I’ve dispensed; but so much is also due to them and their commitment when they start on their herbal journey ….. making changes to their daily lives and tweaking their diets to feel better. There’s also the permission to focus on themselves and reflect. It’s an honour to be part of that.
When I’m not seeing my patients face to face I make a range of herbal teas, soap and skincare products and the labour of love that is my Elderberry Comfort Syrup. The inspiration for these comes from years of treating patients, from nature and using some of my favourite plants, some of which are from my kitchen garden. I use organically grown ingredients and through the year infuse roots, leaves, flowers and fruits into the oils I use to make my soap and skincare products. I love spending time outdoors in nature. Most of my trips, falls and near misses have been from trying to photograph or look at plants whilst walking…
