PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH! 5 weeks post-partum lymphatic drainage for me by me this morning and I’ve impressed myself with the results! 👶🏼🤍
A lot of my pregnancy weight was water weigh and at 5 weeks post partum I was still feeling a bit heavy and bloated. This morning I did (a version of) my lymphatic drainage on myself and was honestly shocked as to how much of the puffiness was just retained, stagnated fluid, especially around my diaphragm, waist and lower belly. Look at how the lower band of my bra sits before and after!
NOW being realistic, I was in good shape pre pregnancy and exercised and took care of my body throughout pregnancy so I had a good starting point when it came to post-partum recovery. I also had a relatively straight forward pregnancy and birth, HOWEVER taking care of your lymphatic system is going to be beneficial regardless of where you are in your recovery. It can take YEARS for hormones to balance after pregnancy and this can really affect how we feel in ourselves!
I treat clients in clinic from 6 weeks post-partum. Please note, I am only able to treat C-Section mamas from 12 weeks post-partum. If you would like lymphatic treatments before this period you need to see a therapist who specialises in advanced scar work. I don’t currently offer this but watch this space 😉
