Welcome to the 6th edition to ! πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“ It's , so today we're focusing on Breast Cancer.

What is breast cancer?

Breast cancer is a cancer that starts in the breast tissue. It is encouraged to check your breasts for any changes each month. This allows you to get to know what is normal for you in order to be able to recognise any new changes to your breasts. Every breast is different, and what is normal for you may be abnormal to somebody else.

Men can get breast cancer, however it is rare with just 400 new cases a year in the UK compared to around 55,000 new cases for women.

Symptoms:

πŸ‘‰ New lump in the breast or underarm

πŸ‘‰ A new thickness or swelling of a part of the breast

πŸ‘‰ Irritation or dimpling of skin on the breast

πŸ‘‰ Redness or flaky skin around the ni**le

πŸ‘‰ Discharge coming from the ni**le, including blood

πŸ‘‰ Pain in any area of the breast

πŸ‘‰ A change in shape or size in the breast
