📣 Seeking Healthy Volunteers for Research Study – Cambridge UK, 12–15 January 📣

We are looking for healthy control volunteers to match our ME / Long COVID participants for a small pilot study. Participants should be fit and well, do not have ME, Long COVID, or neurological conditions, and are able to go in a scanner.

We are specifically seeking:

✔️Female, aged 18–20

✔️Female, aged 42

✔️Female, aged 50

🧠 The study will take place at a research centre in Cambridge, UK between 12th–15th January, and participants will receive free, non-invasive scans (no injections or contrast agents are used). Non-smokers are preferred. Participants will only be needed for a short visit, not a full day. Travel expenses will be reimbursed, though we encourage participants to be within reasonable travel distance of Cambridge.

🔬 Although it’s a small study, this work forms part of ongoing research that could play an important role in how ME and Long COVID are better understood, diagnosed, and treated in the future.

Dr Sarahjane O'Leary has just spent the weekend furthering her skills in the Perrin Technique at an another course with Dr Raymond Perrin here in Perth.

The Perrin Technique is a specialised osteopathic approach designed to assess and treat disturbances in the body’s lymphatic drainage and autonomic nervous system - key factors in conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), fibromyalgia and long COVID.

By refining these manual techniques, osteopaths can help support better fluid movement, reduce toxic overload and improve overall body regulation.

We’re proud of Sarahjane’s continued dedication to advancing her clinical skills and bringing this valuable knowledge to our patients 👏

🇦🇺 The Perrin Technique Workshop Tour in Australia has begun! 🇦🇺

Our first workshop of the tour took place in Perth over the weekend, where Dr. Raymond Perrin was joined by a fantastic group of professionals eager to explore the neuroscience behind the symptoms and diagnostic signs of ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, and Long-COVID

We’re thrilled to welcome newly licensed Perrin Technique Practitioners in WA, and we’re excited to announce our first licensed practitioner based in Melbourne, VIC!

Newly licensed practitioners from the workshop tour will be added to the Perrin Technique Practitioner Map over the coming weeks 🗺

It was also wonderful to see familiar faces back at the workshop, as Perrin Technique Practitioners Dr Sarahjane O’Leary and Dr Ray Power attended the three-day course to stay at the forefront of the latest developments in the Technique

📰The Perrin Technique featured in national UK newspaper, The Telegraph 📰

In The Telegraph’s recent feature, Dr. Raymond Perrin shares the journey of the Perrin Technique, which began in 1989, and discusses the recent major breakthroughs in science which back up the foundations of his approach.

🔬 Dr. Adrian Heald, consultant physician at Salford Royal (part of Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust) , adds valuable support from a recognized NHS perspective as he notes the technique’s “positive results” for ME/CFS and long COVID patients, calling for more research into the Perrin Technique:

🗣 “We’re increasingly learning about the physiology on which the Perrin technique is based. The science is slowly catching up with what Dr. Perrin has been proposing as a technique for many years.” says Dr Heald. "Chronic fatigue is an extremely complex and difficult condition to treat. It manifests in different ways in different people. But the bottom line for me is that any technique that has potential validity as an approach needs to be looked at in a formal way.”

The article also includes Dr. Perrin's insights into how long Covid is caused, why conditions like ME/CFS and long COVID disproportionately affect women and what can trigger these conditions.
