It is not always about how much you are drinking. When I work with my clients we consider what they drinking, how much, when and also are they holding onto the fluid for the right amount of time, or is it passing quickly or very slowly.

The amount of zinc absorbed in your body can be inhibited by phytates (the storage form of phosphorous in plants). However, certain plant based foods contain both zinc and phytates including:

😌Beans
😌Nuts
😌Wholegrains

I am seriously obsessed with looking into what minerals might be lacking when food groups are removed without making sure other sources are available in the diet.

As you can see, nutritional deficiencies can creep in when multiple food groups are removed at once when not under the guidance of a professional.
