This raised shoulder isn’t caused by weakness or tight muscles. It’s a response.
When movement through the mid-back and ribs becomes restricted, the fascia between the shoulder blade and ribcage loses its natural glide.
That change in movement and tissue orientation physically pulls the shoulder upward — shifting load, creating compression, and often leading to pain.
Stretching or strengthening the traps doesn’t fix the issue here. Stephen trains most days, sometimes multiple times a day. Suggesting a lack of strength or tightness here is absurd.
Instead I focused on restoring movement and fascial glide. Allowing the body to reset.
Reset. Rewire. Rebuild.
This is the Seventy3 approach.
