Mounjaro and similar weight-loss drugs are not currently available on NHS prescription anywhere in Greater Manchester, including GP practices, pharmacies, hospitals, or specialist weight management services. This decision has been made by NHS Greater Manchester who has confirmed that the roll-out will be made in stages. We’re encouraging taxi and private hire drivers in Greater Manchester to complete free su***de awareness training that could help them spot the signs someone might be struggling – and potentially save a life.

Taxi drivers meet all sorts of people – and it could be at a time when they need support the most.

The online training by Zero Su***de Alliance takes just ten-minutes. It helps drivers to:

• Spot warning signs
• Ask supportive, direct questions
• Start a conversation with someone who may be in distress
• Signpost to further support

We’re promoting the training to taxi and private hire drivers as part of our Shining A Light on Su***de campaign.
