In 2021 the CMA (Competition & Markets Authority) made it mandatory for all Funeral Directors to clearly display a Standardised Price List so that consumers can easily compare funeral costs. However, many Funeral Directors, while offering the CMA Standardised Price, still work to their own Bespoke Price List, making comparing like for like services offered very difficult.

Here at George Ball & Son, as part of our commitment to being honest and transparent about our costs we do not have a Bespoke Price List. The base price for all our funerals is as per our CMA Standardised Price List with a range of add on "Additional Options" (such as church service, leaving from an address, limousines, out of hours services etc) also clearly displayed on our website.

If someone is grieving, don't avoid mentioning their loved one's name because you're worried about upsetting them.

Most bereaved people want to hear their person's name and share memories. It shows their loved one hasn't been forgotten, let’s celebrate those we miss instead!

BABY LOSS AWARENESS

This is the 22nd year of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which aims to bring together anyone touched by pregnancy and baby loss. The aim is to provide a safe and supportive space to share experiences and to act as a reminder that you are not alone.

If you would like to get involved, you can dedicate a pink or blue ribbon to the Sands Charity memory tree.

Or join other families across the world by lighting a candle at 7pm on the 15th October.
