From client to student to teacher...here's Milie's journey at Runway Pilates! 💛

Millie started out as a regular in our classes, fell in love with Pilates and decided to leave her corporate job to take the leap into something completely new.

After completing our Runway Teacher Training course in June, she’s now one of our incredible instructors, working in a career doing something she truly loves. ✨

🌻 Our first Wellness Wednesday in partnership with Cibo Gran Cafe was a wonderful midweek reset and we've been blown away by the feedback!

Kristen's brilliant mat Pilates session was the perfect way to ground ourselves, followed by a delicious, nutritious dinner at Cibo Gran Cafe to refuel 🌿

Say hello to Charlotte — our amazing Training Academy Coordinator, Reformer Instructor, and all-round movement educator 🙌

Charlotte has been teaching Mat Pilates since 2016 and became a Reformer Instructor in 2020, always calling Runway her Reformer home.

She first discovered Reformer Pilates during lockdown and began using it to help athletes with rehab, strength, and conditioning. What started as a tool for her sports clients turned into a full-blown passion — leading her to Runway, where she now not only teaches clients but also helps train the next generation of instructors through our Runway Training Academy.

Before Runway, Charlotte worked with British Cycling, supporting BMX and Paracycling athletes, and across rugby and football — bringing elite performance insight to every class and course she teaches.

Her favourite move? Mermaid 🧜‍♀️ — an underrated powerhouse that lengthens, strengthens, and challenges balance and control (definitely not a rest!).

Charlotte’s sessions are known for being technical, challenging, and precise — focusing on simple movement done really, really well. She loves helping clients (and future instructors!) move with purpose, alignment, and confidence.

It’s Proptober at Runway! 🧘‍♀️

We’re continuing our team spotlight with the one and only Beth — our glute boss queen 🍑 and one of Runway’s incredible Master Instructors!

Beth has been teaching Pilates since 2019 and first discovered Reformer Pilates six years ago. After her very first class, she fell in love with how much it could do for both injury recovery and overall wellbeing — and she hasn’t looked back since.

Beth also works as a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist, bringing a strong foundation in movement, anatomy, and client care to every session.

Her favorite Reformer move? Side-lying leg in strap — no surprise from the glute queen herself!

As a Master Instructor at Runway, Beth is known for her upbeat, supportive, and seriously effective classes. She combines her expertise with her fun, approachable personality to help clients push past their comfort zones while always feeling safe, strong, and motivated.

Beth loves teaching at Runway because of the high-quality instruction, the community feel, and the way every class is designed to make clients feel supported while achieving their best.

October is Menopause Awareness Month and at Runway we’re continuing to shine a light on how Reformer Pilates can support women through this stage of life. 💛

Menopause brings physical and emotional changes: from fluctuating hormones to shifts in bone density, mood and energy. But movement, especially Pilates, can make a huge difference.

Reformer Pilates offers the perfect balance of strength and support. It’s low impact and joint-friendly but powerful enough to build muscle, improve posture and stimulate bone growth. Breathwork helps lower stress levels and boost focus, while regular classes can improve mood, sleep and confidence. ✨

Mat vs Reformer Pilates: What’s the difference? 🤔

Both follow the same principles – control, breath, precision and flow – but the experience is completely different.

Mat Pilates uses your own bodyweight for resistance, focusing on balance, alignment and control. It’s a brilliant way to build strength from the inside out and develop awareness of how your body moves.

Reformer Pilates brings the same principles to life with the help of springs, straps and pulleys. The resistance both supports and challenges you, helping you go deeper and find more precision in every movement.

Today is Mental Health Awareness Day - a reminder to check in with yourself and to make space for the things that help you feel grounded. 💛

Movement has a huge impact on how we think and feel. Pilates helps to quiet your mind, release tension and bring your focus back to the present. Even 30 minutes of mindful movement can shift your whole day.

Remember: your mental health matters every day, not just today. So take a breath, move your body and do something positive for your body and mind today.

Nothing is worse than...

Nothing is worse than feeling or being limited. It could be from back pain, not having confidence in yourself, to a serious injury or condition. The first thing to realise is no matter how long you have been in pain it can be helped. Everything we do, we do to rid our clients of pain. Whether that's physical, spiritual or emotional. From back pain to lack of confidence our instructors work with you in small groups or one to one sessions to help you reach your goals and see real improvements in your body. I will never get tired of seeing the smiles on peoples faces after reaping the benefits of reformer pilates. We currently are offering Free reformer pilates classes to allow people to experience how pilates can help benefit them. This also allows us to see what you're capable of and tailor your pilates journey to your needs.
