Last night I had the privilege of delivering a breathwork session for the incredible staff in the trauma unit at Salford Royal Hospital.
As you can imagine, the work they do every day carries immense pressure. They spend their shifts caring for others in some of the most intense and challenging situations.
My intention for the evening was simple - to create a safe space where they could pause, breathe, and gently release some of the stress their bodies hold.
The feedback was truly heart-warming:
“Wow… I’ve never felt that relaxed in my whole life.”
“I was able to completely get out of my head.”
“I felt almost paralysed - in a good way.’’
‘’That was incredible.”
Moments like this are a reminder of how powerful the breath can be. When we allow the body space to slow down, it often knows exactly how to let go.
So many of us are spinning multiple plates - demanding jobs, family life, caring for children or elderly parents, and simply trying to keep up with everyday life.
These sessions offer people a moment to return to themselves.
If you, your workplace, or someone you know would benefit from a session like this, I’d love to hear from you.
