Foot pain? Plantar fasciitis could be the problem.

Plantar fasciitis is the inflammation of the plantar fascia tissue in the foot used during walking and foot movement. Plantar fasciitis can be caused by a number of factors, including type of shoes, foot structure, overuse and types of walking surfaces.

If your plantar fasciitis frequently flares up, our physiotherapists can provide effective treatment, advice and an exercise plan to prevent further flare ups.

An effective treatment used is extracorporeal shockwave therapy. Shockwave therapy uses mechanical (instead of electrical) high energy sound waves, which pass through the skin to the affected area. This treatment has been found to increase blood circulation and activity in the cells in the treatment area, which in turn speeds up the healing process. The nerves can also be overstimulated by the shockwaves, which leads to reduced pain sensation.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and competent MSK Physiotherapist. We are a small private run clinic based in Manchester, Bolton and Chorley.
The successful applicant must be able to work on their own initiative and have a genuine enthusiasm for muscular skeletal physiotherapy. The successful applicant would be based primarily at our Chorley clinic.

This is a part time vacancy, hours are negotiable, but will include some evenings and or weekends. The opportunity comes with competitive rates of pay.
