Defibs significantly increase the chance of surviving a cardiac arrest, yet in 2023, they were used in just 8.3% of cases outside hospitals.

This is why greater public awareness and education is needed. These devices save lives, but only if people have the confidence to use them.

Our 16hr Outdoor First Aid certification is valid for 3 years and is usually a mandatory requirement for some of the above!

This comprehensive two-day qualification will provide learners
with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations in a prompt, safe and effective way. It will enable learners to undertake the role of the First Aider when emergency medical assistance could be more than 30 minutes away ⏰️

Designed for all people working in an environment where individuals are likely to find themselves at risk.

A range of subjects are covered including:

• First Aid equipment
• Assessment of the situation
• Prioritising treatment
• Moving a casualty
• Fractures and spinal injuries
• Control of bleeding
• Effects of heat and cold

Meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning Band 3 training.

Meets the first aid training requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh bronze, silver and gold expedition awards.

Are you or your employees in need of first aid training? New to first aid or need a refresher?

We are running an Emergency First Aid at Work session in the Atherton/Tyldesley/Leigh area on 23rd April 2025.

This 1 day course equips you to respond to emergencies in the work place and effectively apply treatment to a casualty in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Where a workplace risk assessment identifies the requirement for emergency First Aiders, this course will provide you with a level 3 national award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) which satisfies the regulatory body for first aid - The Health and Safety Executive (HSE)

What you will learn -

• Responsibilities and reporting
• Assessment of the situation
• Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
• Basic hygiene in First Aid
• Burns
• Epilepsy
• Resuscitation
• AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
• Anatomy

We are Nuco Training approved instructors and you will be certified by First Aid Awards Ltd (FAA).
