Ramadan Mubarak to you and all your members! It’s a beautiful time of year, and you're absolutely right—staying on track with Slimming World is totally doable with a bit of planning.
Breaking the fast (Iftar) is all about balance. It’s tempting to dive straight into the fried treats, but focusing on Filling Foods and Speed Foods (fruits and vegetables) ensures you get the nutrients you need without feeling sluggish during prayers.
My Top Tips for Slimming World during Ramadan
Hydration is Hero: Drink plenty of water between Iftar and Suhoor. Avoid sugary drinks that cause energy crashes; stick to water, herbal teas, or no-added-sugar squash.
The "Suhour" Power House: At the pre-dawn meal, go for slow-release carbs like porridge (oats), wholewheat pasta, or eggs. These keep you fuller for much longer throughout the daylight hours.
The Three-Date Rule: Breaking the fast with dates is a beautiful tradition. Just remember to count them as your Healthy Extra or Syns, and pair them with a large glass of water.
Air Fryer Magic: If you love samosas or pakoras, try "air-frying" them or baking them in the oven instead of deep-frying. You get the crunch for a fraction of the Syns!
Speed First: Try to fill half your Iftar plate with salad or a hearty vegetable soup before moving on to the main course.

وجبة السحور: ركزوا على الأطعمة التي تمنحكم الشبع لفترة طويلة مثل الشوفان والفواكه (Speed Food) لتظلوا ممتلئين طوال اليوم.
(Suhoor: Focus on foods that keep you full, like oats and fruit, to stay satisfied all day.)
وجبة الإفطار: ابدأوا بالتمر والماء، وحاولوا ملء نصف الطبق بالخضروات قبل البدء بالوجبة الرئيسية.
(Iftar: Start with dates and water, and try to fill half your plate with vegetables before the main meal.)
