We are hiring! Community Support Worker (Care Leavers)

Circa £21,000 - 23,000 per annum with opportunities for career progression!

You will need to have:
🔷 A Level 3 qualification in Children & Young Peoples Workforce or Health and Social Care (desirable). If this is not already achieved this will be completed during employment.
🔷 Flexibility to work across emergency work, floating support and intense support with young people.
🔷 Have a genuine desire to support others to improve their lives
🔷 Good Literacy and communication skills
🔷 Patience and empathy towards some of the issues and challenges are faced by young people
🔷 Able to work flexibly, including bank holidays (including the Christmas and New Year period), evenings and weekends
🔷 Full Clean Driving License (if over aged 25 can use pool vehicles)

Today marks the 7th annual Care Day which is a global celebration (and the world’s largest celebration) of the successes and achievements of children and young people with experience of care.
This years theme is "It takes a village to raise a child".
We are
For , children and young people with care experience are asking you to stand with them. There are a few different ways you can do this to show your support today:
⚫️Share a photo of yourself (or just your hands if you are camera shy) on social media with and/or written on the palm of your hands.
⚫️Share a video selfie to wish children in care, those with care experience, and EPIC a very happy care day, or any other messages of solidarity and celebration you may have.

Congratulations to Joe and Maggie Forber on the launch of the Forber Foundation today! The foundation has been created to “support youngsters who are a part of the [Manchester Basketball] Club who may need extra funds to allow them to pursue their interest in basketball and to fulfil their potential in whichever area of basketball they have chosen – playing, refereeing, coaching, table officiating, link with education, etc.” 🏀

Our Managing Director Ray is a Panel Member with the charity and will be assessing applications for those who will benefit from the foundation.

We are really saddened to hear the news of our friend Dawn passing. Dawn touched the lives of so many, especially through her son Josh’s charity, The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity ❤️💛💙and her passionate work with Changing Places UK. It has been was an honour for Ray and other staff members to have been involved with fundraising and events for the charity.

We realise what an amazing impact her life has made and will continue to have on so many people. We send our deepest condolences to her family.
