Hi everyone, I thought I’d do a little “get to know me” post 🤍

My name’s Laura, I’m 34 and happily married to my husband Declan. We have three boys who definitely keep me on my toes!

Last year, I took voluntary redundancy from my job at Eon so I could care for my mum, our Julie, full time. Sadly, we lost her in January — something that has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through.

During that time, I started a photography course as a way to focus my mind and find a bit of light in a really difficult chapter. That’s where Laura Allan Photography was born.

My goal has always been simple — to create a photography business where everyone can have beautiful photos of their children, loved ones, and special moments without it costing a fortune. Life is expensive enough as it is… memories that last a lifetime shouldn’t be.

We’ve since built a small home studio in the garden, and I absolutely love it. I’m learning something new every single day, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful for all the support I’ve received so far 🩷

I also run Make A Mess - these two businesses definitely keep me busy 🩷

This week I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Kloie and Kieron into the studio with their beautiful baby girl, Elaya Grace 🤍

From the moment she arrived, Elaya was wide awake and so incredibly alert — not a single bit of sleep, just taking in the world around her with those curious little eyes. It was so special to witness.

Kloie and Kieron are such a beautiful little family. The love in the room was undeniable — you could feel it in every glance, every touch, every quiet moment between them.

It’s clear that Elaya is already so deeply cherished, and there’s no doubt at all that Kloie and Kieron are going to be the most amazing parents.

Watching him explore, climb trees, and just enjoy being outdoors reminded me how special these little moments are. He was fearless, full of energy, and completely in his element — just a beautiful boy making the most of his adventure.

There’s something so special about Mother’s Day sessions, and this one with Abi, her mum, and beautiful baby Louie was truly heart-melting 🥺✨

From the tiniest little details to the quiet, loving glances between generations, every moment felt so full of warmth and connection. Louie was an absolute dream, and capturing those natural, affectionate moments between him, his mum, and his lovely granny was such a joy.

Had my own beautiful baby Bowen in the studio today for his Easter photos 🐣💛

We had the sweetest time — he was absolutely belly laughing at mummy hopping around like the Easter bunny while we had Easter music playing… the kind of moment you wish you could bottle forever 🥹

I always love capturing memories for everyone else, but taking photos of your own child… it really is something else 🤍
