Dear Abbey Medical Group patients,

I am writing to let you all know that Dr Mattick has decided to hang up his stethoscope after 27 years of dedicated service to the practice. Dr Mattick will be leaving the practice at the beginning of June.

Dr Mattick is an integral part of this surgery, and his contributions to the practice and our patients over the years have been invaluable. His commitment and expertise will be deeply missed by us all.

I am sure that you will all join me in wishing Dr Mattick the very best for a peaceful retirement after such a dedicated career.

We would like to hear how you access and use local pharmacy services
Our council carries out a survey of pharmacy services in the area every three years, in order to understand what is working well and identify areas that need improvement. The results of the survey help us ensure that services meet the health needs of local residents in the future.
We would be very grateful if you can take five minutes to complete the confidential survey, and encourage your friends, family and colleagues to do it too. Your input and experiences are important. Visit your relevant link below to provide your input before 31 December 2024.

The NHS in the East Midlands is reviewing how people can access fertility treatments. The aim is to create a standardised approach to fertility treatment across the region.

Currently, there are differences in the way people can access fertility treatments. The review addresses these differences in access, such as age, BMI, and the number of treatment cycles available between Bassetlaw and the rest of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. It also considers access for same-sex couples, individuals with children from previous relationships, and single people.

This is your opportunity to share your thoughts and help shape the future of fertility services in the East Midlands to ensure that the new policy best serves our population.

The engagement period will run from 11th November 2024 to 10th January 2025. All feedback will be used to influence the final policy. We will make sure to communicate what steps we have taken following the engagement with you and your communities.

You can get involved in a number of ways:

• Complete our survey on the Fertility Policy Review by clicking here - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FertilityPolicy
• By sharing feedback over the telephone by ringing 07385 360071.
• Attending community group meetings by those most impacted by the proposed changes.
• Attend one of our online public meetings:
o Thursday 28 November 6.30pm - 8.00pm
o Thursday 12 December 6.30pm - 8.00pm
o Saturday 14 December 10.00am - 11.30am
