Let’s talk about the thing no one wants to talk about.
Shame.
It’s the feeling that tells you you’re too much, or not enough.
That keeps you overthinking every text you’ve sent.
That makes you feel like you’ve got to be perfect, polite, productive, or else.
That hides under burnout, people-pleasing, anger, avoidance, self-criticism, or the feeling that you’ve never really belonged anywhere.
For a long time, shame shaped everything in my own life — silently. So now, it's at the heart of how I work as a therapist.
