We’re delighted to invite everyone to the first Bake Sale of the year at Askham! 🧁

Taking place on Tuesday, 27th January, this is a lovely chance to pop in, enjoy some homemade bakes and support a great cause 🍰

All funds raised will go towards The Askham Residents’ Fund, helping to support activities and special experiences for our residents.

🦆 National Rubber Ducky Day 🦆

A little rain wasn’t going to stop us! ☔

We celebrated National Rubber Ducky Day yesterday with a quacking good rubber duck race in our World Gardens 🌍🪴

Despite the drizzle, spirits stayed high, laughter flowed, and our ducks raced on, proving that a bit of rain can’t dampen the fun! 💛

With the cold weather and snow warnings in place, it’s a good time to slow things down and keep warm ❄️

Our café is a cosy spot at Askham, perfect for a hot drink, a chat and a little comfort while the winter weather settles in. Whether it’s tea, coffee or something warming to eat, sometimes the simple things make all the difference ☕🍰

Yesterday, we welcomed Visosport to Askham Grove and it was a lovely session enjoyed by everyone involved ⚽

There was plenty of movement, smiles and positive energy throughout, with residents joining in at their own pace and making the most of the activities on offer. It’s always great to see sessions like these bringing people together in such a relaxed and uplifting way 🏐

On Christmas Eve, we had a very special visitor at Askham 🎄🎅

Father Christmas parked up nearby to give his reindeer a well-earned rest and took the opportunity to pop in and spend some time with our residents before his long journey ahead 🦌🛷

There were smiles all round and a lovely festive atmosphere as he shared a few moments with everyone. A truly magical visit and a beautiful way to mark Christmas Eve at Askham 💛

Buddy’s last day of mischief has arrived and this morning he’s already been called back to the North Pole. Santa needs all the help he can get tonight and even though Buddy hasn’t been on his best behaviour every single day, he’s still very much loved 💛

This image was created using AI to mark Buddy’s festive farewell, as he’s already packed his tiny suitcase and headed off to help Santa deliver Christmas magic far and wide 🦌🎅🛷

We’ve loved having him around Askham, bringing smiles, laughter and a little bit of harmless chaos along the way. And don’t worry, Buddy has promised he’ll be back next year… hopefully with slightly better behaviour! 😉
