Pilates classes start this week with the January focus

Posture and core mobility

Fitwoman skiing in Les Contamines.

It was a busy week skiing as a family of 5, highs and low and a few tears but great skiing.

Great skiing, quiet slopes and my PILATES really helped. I consciously engaged my core, appreciated my good balance, had to “dig deep” a couple of times but found my body was still feeling OK after 6 days skiing whereas the other people in my group were feeling sore/ injured.

I did stop to consider how all the Pilates I’ve done must have prepared me so well…

I also taught a Pilates class back at the accommodation and guess what? I LOVED it ha ha!

Our November Fitwoman retreat was another day to remember,
Moving the body, quads on fire, circle of trust in the Plank.
PILATES, using small equipment, flowing sequences
Nourishing lunch, buffet style from waitrose with homemade goodies too and coffee
Slow Pilates, relaxation and fresh mint tea to finish.

It’s always more than a day of moving.

I’ve noticed a growing number of men coming to my classes and although in some cases it may be the result of gentle encouragement from home, I can see the instant positive results, the lessening of pain, improved posture, core strength and lack of money being spent on Chiropractors!!

Join me on my Friday, super busy day
An early start:
Feeding the horses and chickens
Teaching 2 x Pilates classes
PT session with my client- outside running, squats, press ups and weights
Riding in the woods
Quick dog walk

Sometimes I think I’d love to share my day with you so yesterday I quickly documented some of what I did.
Yes it was busy. Being fit and healthy enables me to get through these busier days.. along with coffee!
It’s always a joy to teach the classes and connect with my clients
The Pilates helps me so much, mentally keeping me in a good place and physically quite a few times yesterday staying on Rhino as he decided to spook at lots of scary leaves … Thank you Pilates for my balance and mental capacity

Great day refreshing my first aid knowledge with today.
Lousie gave us the confidence to take control and know exactly what to do should a person need first aid.
I last went to a first aid training development day in Dubai so it was time to refresh my skills.
I feel like donning a cape and performing good deeds on members of the community needing first aid!

My Fitwoman clients are in great hands!
