Why only have one photo, when you can have three?! 😍

Introducing this little Poppet, Rusty 🐾🐶

Rusty has recently started physiotherapy to strengthen his quadricep and hamstring muscle groups to prevent his knee cap popping out of place.

Another term for this is patella luxation which is graded on its severity. Luckily, Rusty is a lower grade so we can conservatively manage this for now and reduce chance of further injury in the future. ❤️‍🩹

Rusty has a couple of exercises to be learning in between our next session and hopefully we can progress onto the next stage of his strengthening plan 💪

Poppy 🌸🐾

This little cutie has recently started physiotherapy after she was diagnosed with bilateral patella luxation 🦴

A combination of massage, thermal therapy and targeted exercises are being used to strengthen Poppy’s gluteals and quadriceps whilst reducing secondary compensations💪

Working on improving posture is not easy & takes time but consistency and perseverance is key 🔑

How proud does Poppy look next to her new cones?! 😍

Ralph- one example of an IVDD journey 🐾

A few months back I posted about how unluckily Ralph has been to undergo two spinal surgeries in just a few weeks!

His progress has been remarkable and like in every rehabilitation journey, that progress has not been quick or always according to plan 📈

Physiotherapy is thinking outside the box for every patient so that the exercise can be tailored to them.

It’s about listening to them and their needs; no two patients will be the same.

Physiotherapy is not a ‘one-time’ solution. It’s about putting in the time for your pet to make small changes that are going to lead to BIG results 💪

Ralph’s owners have made so many changes at home to support his recovery and continue to do so months later 👏 We added in some proprioceptive walking to challenge his coordination and balance- a new approach for Ralph but his movement is controlled and focused which is exactly what we want 🫶

Well done little poppet 😍

Amber enjoying her treatment with my trusted Epiony heat pad ♨️

Amber had muscular tension and discomfort in her left quadricep which was treated with heat therapy to increase blood flow, pliability and reduce pain prior to massage and stretching ✨

Subtle changes can be detected early with regular physiotherapy so if you’ve noticed any behavioural or gait changes in your pet, now is the time to contact your local physio 🐕🐾

Have a wonderful weekend! 🫶

Brrr it’s cold out there at the moment 🥶

I actually quite like the cold & like some pets are overjoyed to see the snow 🌨️ but it’s not for everyone and more importantly it can have a huge impact on our pets; particularly the golden oldies 💛

Here are a few tips to consider over the next month or so with the temperatures dropping 🌡️

💡Check paws for grit and clean after walks

💡Ensure your dog has sufficient warm-up/cool down prior to and after off lead exercise to prevent injury

💡Be mindful/avoid areas that may become slippery and difficult for your dog to grip

💡Movement is key so even if your dog is not a lover of the white stuff/cold; offer indoor play/sensory activities/practise physio exercises to encourage mobility & prevent stiffness

💡Using coats can be beneficial for some but are not necessary for all dogs so listen to how they feel & ensure they have a warm, safe environment at home with easy access to bedding, food/water

💡Monitor for any signs that suggest your dog may be struggling with the change in temperature 🫶

December ❄️

I can’t quite believe there is just over a week until Christmas!🎄 This year has passed at a staggering rate; it would be nice if we could pause time for a bit ⏰

I’m fully booked for the rest of the year & booking into January/February 2026 so please message me if you would like an appointment to avoid disappointment.

In the next couple of days I will post my working schedule over the Christmas and New Year period ⭐️

In the meantime, enjoy this wonderful photo of my friend’s dog, Chase. Isn’t he a beautiful boy! 🐶✨

Happy Friday!

Lovely Kuba was receiving her monthly physio session but something tells me Ivy felt left out! 😂

How sweet is Pippin? 🥹

Pippin is a young chap who has recently started physiotherapy after his owners noticed an intermittent lameness 🐾

We identified a few musculoskeletal changes that are being addressed with manual therapy and targeted exercises 🐕

I think Pippin felt like royalty whilst being treated & for a moment was fully asleep! 👑

It was such a pleasure working with this handsome boy and well done to his owners for spotting something wasn’t quite right. ⭐️

Pippin is now on maintenance physiotherapy so we can keep an eye out for any changes and ensure his musculoskeletal health is prioritised 🫶
