Prāṇa in Practice — Mondays at Wellspring Hub
Yoga… but perhaps not quite as you expect it.
Most people think prāṇāyāma means sitting still and breathing slowly.
In this class, the breath moves and the whole system responds.
Prāṇa in Practice is a breath-led yoga class rooted in the Rishiculture Ashtanga (Gitananda) tradition, taught by Liz - a mentor in the tradition.
We move, breathe, and coordinate the two through rhythmic practices that wake the system up, free your, and shift how you feel from the inside out.
Breath and movement are the gateways — the real exploration is prāṇa, the vital force that changes how we feel, move and experience.
These practices work on surprisingly deep levels, gradually retraining breathing patterns, releasing habitual tension, and restoring a more natural relationship between breath, movement and, most importantly, awareness.
The result is a practice that feels joyful, freeing and energising.
People often feel lighter, less inhibited, and more themselves as they begin to notice that some of the internal knots we have tied ourselves up in are starting to loosen.
While many yoga classes focus primarily on posture, this work centres on the living force carried by the breath itself and what unfolds when breath and movement truly work together.
