My view today 😍 so beautiful. But the trip is to honour a friend who is no longer here and deeply missed, so feeling all the emotions. Another reminder to cherish every day and every chance to say yes to a new adventure.

From January to April, with wonderful friends old and new, I’ve been walking from Rochester to Ramsgate in stages. We started in Winter and finished in glorious Spring sunshine. I’m so grateful for the chance to slow down and explore the countryside in a way I could only do on foot, crossing marshland, ancient woodland, the North Downs, and eventually our along beautiful coastline.

I love to be outdoors, it’s a big part of my self care. Over the next few months I’m walking across Kent in stages, from Rochester to Ramsgate. It’s been restorative to slow down and see the beauty in the little villages and landscapes I pass through on foot.

Been reading this book recently. Death is a hard topic to talk about but, as the author notes, there are only two days in our lives that are less than 24 hours: The day we are born and the day we die. Death is a part of life encountered by all. Recommend this book to anyone who might be affected by death - ie everyone.
