What is a fungal nail infection?
Also known as onychomycosis, it's a common condition where fungus invades the nail bed - often through tiny cracks or breaks in the nail or surrounding skin.
It thrives in warm, damp environments (think sweaty socks, tight shoes, locker rooms) and is highly contagious - even between your own toes!
