⬇️My Top 5 Reasons to do Hypnobirthing

Happy World Hypnobirthing Day!!
There are soooo many benefits to doing Hypnobirthing but for me, the 5 top reasons to do it are:
1. It reduces anxieties and fears relating to childbirth
2. It can reduce your perception of pain during labour
3. It helps you bond with your baby and partner
4. It educates you about your mind and body, the medical system, your rights and more, in order to help you make informed decisions
5. It leaves you confident, calm and empowered

There is still a lot of scepticism around the term ‘Hypnobirthing’ but don’t let the name fool you. Whilst there are aspects of hypnosis, it isn’t your ‘look into my eyes’ barking like a dog kind. It’s guided relaxations and understanding how your mind works, then unlearning all you think you know about labour and birth.

Courses are based on logic and evidence and will not only give you tools and techniques to practice, but they will teach you antenatal education too. You’ll learn about the muscles of the uterus, the hormones of birth, your nervous systems, the stages of labour, the importance of the birth partner, your rights and informed consent and so so much more.

If you’d like to know more send me a message with any questions or to arrange a free 15 minute video call to discuss the course.

You deserve to go into your labour with all the information and feeling in control and I am here to help you do that.

Heard of people mooing in labour? It’s actually a very primal and instinctual thing to do. The vibrations that travel through our bodies whilst making these sorts of sounds act as an internal massage. This internal massage helps reduce pain in a similar way to why cats purr when in pain.

Sounds which open the throat aid the dilation of the cervix due to the direct link between the jaw and the pelvis. A relaxed jaw and open throat is mimicked by the pelvis and cervix.

Our bodies are these incredible things that know what to do and when and how to do it. The human body never fails to surprise me.
