Everybody, meet Pat! 👋 Choosing to downsize at Thorsten Fields in Congleton, Pat's home of choice was The Lyford with 3 double bedrooms and plenty of space for making memories with her family. 🏡

Pat's story:

"I knew I wanted a detached property and The Lyford was perfect. My daughters are grown up and as my youngest is looking to buy her own property, The Lyford gives me enough space now and in the future.

"I know Congleton quite well as my oldest daughter lives here with her partner and my two year old grandson.

"I can’t fault the buying experience at all. The sales team [at Thorsten Fields] have supported me all the way, even when things got stressful. And since getting my keys I still have a great relationship with the site team.

"Downsizing is very different to buying your first new home. However, I love the fact that my new home is a blank canvas to combine my own personal things with new ideas. A bit like combining old with new and I love Instagram and Pinterest for that!

"I love my new home."

1 YEAR OF MEMORIES AND MILESTONES! 🏡✨ It's 12 months today since moved into her new Bloor Hillcott at Suttonfields in St Helens, and what a wonderful 12 months it's been. *Sound on!*

Charlotte's story:

"Our friends bought a Wollaton here in 2024, and we originally came to the site just to be nosey really! As I commute to Salford every day, the location was ideal because of the excellent transport links via the M62 and East Lancs.

"We originally fell in love with The Hallam and had first refusal on one of those plots. Then we spotted online that a plot on that phase had been released, which made us really excited as we thought ours must be close to being available too. We drove over to the site to see whether anything had started, and as luck would have it, the fencing was right next to Plot 226.

"The moment I saw the house, I loved it instantly. I went online and discovered it was the 'Home of the Week' and came with some incredible incentives. There weren’t any Hillcott showhomes at the time so we did plenty of social media stalking and decided to take a leap of faith. Luckily, I managed to convince my partner to take that leap with me!

"I think we first saw the home on 28th March, completed on 25th April, and moved in on 10th May. We loved the whole process because it was so quick and easy, and Sue in the sales office was honestly so excited for us that she made the experience even more special.

"Since moving in, we’ve slowly been making the house our home, one small job — and one pack of Command strips — at a time! We’ve also had excellent aftercare and are just about to begin our settlement repairs, which have thankfully been very minimal.

"We would absolutely recommend Bloor Homes. As block-and-brick developers, the quality of the build feels far better than many of the other new-build homes we viewed. The house is also so well insulated that our energy bills are much lower than we expected.

"And now we’re starting our family here! 🤎

"We’ve loved making memories and celebrating a year full of “firsts” in our first home. From housewarmings, our first roast dinner, Halloween and Christmas, to our engagement and finding out we were expecting our baby. Every moment has made our Hillcott feel even more special. We’ve also celebrated first birthdays, Valentine’s Day and Easter here too.

"It’s amazing how quickly a house becomes a home, and our happy Hillcott already holds so many wonderful memories."

We're really excited to see Charlotte's next 12 months unfold at Suttonfields with so many more 'firsts' on their way.

Sam and Harry opted for our 4-bedroom Bloor Locke and it's been brilliant to follow their journey, from initial site visits to now. They knew The Locke was the home for them as soon as they saw it and we're loving seeing their new chapter unfold. 📚

"We fell in love with The Locke because of the character of it, it was a new build but didn’t have that traditional new build look.

"We also loved the layout of the kitchen which enabled us to utilise the wider space off of the kitchen as a dining area / snug. This was one of the biggest things we were looking for when looking at different houses as we wanted it to be the heart of the home, somewhere we could host our friends and family, be together as a family ourselves, but also relax and enjoy the garden.

"We love the size of the rooms and the utility under the stairs is a great use of space too - it keeps the kitchen washing free!"

Have you heard about our Cromwell Orchard Community Fund? ⭐ We’ve launched a search for four deserving local charities or organisations in and around Mickleover to each receive a donation of £250 from our Cromwell Orchard community fund. 💙💸

We’re inviting people who run the charities and organisations in the community close to our development to get in touch. But you'll need to be quick - the deadline for applications in midnight on Thursday 30th April!

To apply for one of the four donations, all you need to do is provide us with some information about your organisation, and a short description of what the donation will be used for.

If you’re based in and around Mickleover and you need help funding equipment, towards a project, or even a trip for the people you support, we’d love to hear from you!
