February, you were a challenge, but I’m so grateful 🥲
This month I quit my part time fundraising job with immediate effect - hence the dramatic picture of me, post sob, in my car 😂
I loved the cause with all my heart, but fundraising for me was SO draining. It was costing me energy I didn’t have, and taking me away from what matters most; spending time with my loved ones and building this beautiful wonky business of mine.
So I quit! And just like that, this business became my only source of income 🥹
I wish I could tell you that it’s taken off so much that I don’t need another job. That as soon as I quit, I instantly became inundated with bookings and I’m going to be a full time boss babe forever, but that would be a lie, and I’m all about being honest with you guys.
The truth is, I’ve made the logical (and financially beneficial) decision to temporarily go back into full time corporate work.
I’m all about manifesting abundance and taking risks, but sometimes there comes a time where we have to be realistic, especially if chasing our dreams consistently comes at the financial expense of the people we love.
I will still be growing this business, carrying out voicenote and online readings as and when I can, and I’ll be based at on Tuesdays 15:30-19:30, and Wednesdays 16:00-20:00.
I have not and will not give up on my dreams 💫
I am so unbelievably grateful to my partner, my fur babies, my family and friends, my Nourish family, anyone reading this right now, and to the incredible clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with so far, you’re the reason I’d do this, I couldn’t do it without any of you 🥹🫶🏻
So I guess this is a gentle reminder that success comes in many different forms, the journey towards it is full of ups, downs, and surprises, and that temporarily going back to known safety and security is not selling out.
Growing a business is hard but it’s still growing, and for that I’m so grateful 🥰 I love you!
