This space is for sharing simple, science-backed tips & real support, as it’s never too late to fuel your life with purpose and balance. Hi, I’m Mindy, a Certified Nutrition Coach (NASM), full-time professional, wife of 26 years, and proud mum to three boys aged 19, 17, and 15. At 47, I understand firsthand how our bodies and priorities shift as we approach and move through our 50s. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others in the 45+ age group take control of their health through science-based nutrition and sustainable lifestyle habits. Life is full, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I juggle a full-time career, family life, and everything in between, but I’ve learned that prioritising health doesn’t require perfection; it’s about consistency, intention, and science-backed choices.
• Whether it’s a daily walk,
• core strength training, or
• preparing balanced meals, I’ve made wellness a non-negotiable part of my routine and now I help others do the same. Through my certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), I’ve developed a deep understanding of how nutrition fuels energy, supports longevity, and empowers people to feel their best, especially during midlife and beyond. My Journey
I started my peri-menopause journey at 45 years old. I was initially told I was too young to be displaying symptoms ranging from;
• Hot flushes: sudden feelings of heat in the face, neck, and chest
• Night sweats: often disrupting my sleep
• Huge sleep difficulties, where I had trouble falling or staying asleep
• Palpitations: noticeable heartbeats, especially during the night
• Muscle and joint pain
• Low Thyroid production (hypothyroidism) and put on Thyroid medication
• This led to noticeable changes in my body shape and gaining weight in my midsection. I have always been slim, but this change really affected my weight and self confidence
• Skin changes, including both dryness and / or itchiness
The above are just a few of the symptoms I had, which then began affecting my performance at work. Knowing more about nutrition, my aim now is to bridge the gap between knowledge and application and getting the right information out there in the public domain, to help others who are going through what I am and have been going through. I want to use evidence-based guidance to help you improve
• Your body composition,
• Your athletic performance, and
• You overall health and wellbeing, which will ultimately,
• Positively impact your life
I want to simplify things for my health and wellness clients. It’s more than going to a gym - it’s about getting the right foods into your diet.
