Yesterday, we had our monthly family yoga sessions

It was such fun greeting many new families, and welcoming back those who'd been before. In our younger preschool session we had a few just turned 2's as well!

We focused on balancing in tree 🌴and flamingo poses, as well as exploring the feeling 'scared'🙀, and finding a safe space. 🥰

Our game of 'Floor Is Lava' sensory walk was a hit in both classes!😁

Join us next Saturday 23rd May in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes at 2pm for 4-11yrs (primary school) and families.

Come and join me tomorrow at 11.45am The Rocci Tree It’s a drop in session, so not part of a course. We would love to see you.

45 mins of gentle yoga for mums and some sensory yoga moves for baby. Suitable for babies from 6 weeks to the point of crawling.

Designed to give both mum and baby a good stretch, feel good, aid babies development, and a well deserved relax, before tea and snacks.

Mine started with a quiet walk before the rest of the house was awake. Such a beautiful time of day. I was treated to the sight of these gorgeous ducklings. 🦆

Helpful reminders for parents and carers:

🌟 Check in regularly
Example: “What was the best part of your day?”

🌟 Be a calm presence
Example: Sit together quietly when they feel overwhelmed.

🌟 Encourage breaks and rest
Example: Have a relaxing evening after a busy day.

🌟 Notice behaviour changes
Example: Gently ask if something is bothering them.

🌟 Show affection and reassurance
Example: “I’m here for you no matter what.”

Parents and carers can make a huge difference by:

💚 Spending quality time together
💚 Helping children name their emotions
💚 Limiting pressure and unrealistic expectations
💚 Encouraging hobbies and friendships
💚 Reminding them it’s okay to ask for help

What positive habits help your family wellbeing? 🌱

In our family, dinner time is our time to be together (most days!). No TV or phones. We have the craziest conversations. 🤣. Hobbies, sports and clubs sometimes mean we eat separately, but when we can sit down at the table together, we do. 🥰

🌟Wishing all students taking GCSE's and A Levels good luck over the next few weeks.

In our teen yoga sessions we've been using affirmations to help us feel calmer and in control as we enter exam season.

Here are a few of the most popular ones chosen by themselves.
These affirmations can be repeated in various ways:

🤩Saying them out loud over and over again.
👨Repeating them in your head.
📝Printing or writing out on separate post it notes and placing around the house, or around the mirror in their bedroom. (Or any other place).
📒Writing them out repeatedly in a journal or notebook, in the mornings or even before bed to help calm an anxious mind.
🤳Recording them in a note on their phones (audio), so they can choose to listen to them whenever they need to.
