Due to unforeseen circumstances we are not going to be able to open the clinic in Milton for the final time next Wednesday 25 July.

Moraig Goodwin, Mags Kirk and Sarah Oakley have been running this clinic for over 4 years and it originally started in Waterbeach Tillage Hall. We have run it as volunteers and funded the venue ourselves and in the beginning we thought we would be seeing maybe 6 families per week. However, within 6 months numbers had swelled to double that and in the last 2-3 years we have been having 15-24 families at every session and it has become too overwhelming and we are no longer able to give the time we would like to each individual family. We have attempted to pull in more volunteers to help without any success so earlier this year we made the decision to close at the end of this month.

Thank you to all of you who have come along to the clinic over the years.

If parents are looking for free advice regarding tongue tie or other complex feeding issues Sarah Oakley will continue to run the free breastfeeding groups in Ely and Bury St Edmunds.

The clinic in Milton this week on Wednesday 21 March will close promptly at 11.30am as Sarah Oakley has a teaching commitment in Cambridge on Wednesday afternoon. Families will be turned away if time runs out so please consider accessing local breastfeeding support groups or Sarah’s free breastfeeding drop in in Bury St Edmunds on Tuesday 20 March 3-4 pm at The Self Centre, or ElyMilks Thursday 29 March 1.30-2.30pm at Ely Cathedral Centre instead. Moraig, Mags and Sarah all offer private appointments too so if someone has already said your baby definitely or probably has a tongue-tie or would benefit from osteopathy then a private appointment for assessment and division, or for osteopathy, or seeking an NHS appointment for division, is going to be more appropriate than coming to the clinic simply to get another opinion. If you have been referred to the clinic with a tongue-tie related issue many of your questions about this can be answered by reading through the tongue-tie section of this website
