So today I had a wonderful surprise through my letter box. A connection on Twitter (the lovely )sent me a letter. An old fashioned, hand written letter and two lovely little gifts of his art too 😍
I’d forgotten that feeling of seeing a hand written envelope on the mat and opening an envelope to something other than a bill or a bank statement. An act of kindness that has really brightened my day.

And so I thought I’d offer to brighten someone else’s day in return. If you’d like a little letter from me, leave me a comment and I’ll get it sorted.

A lady moved in to the sheltered accommodation around the corner from my mum’s and promptly turned the front garden into “Shepshed Fairy Garden”.

At first I used to walk or drive past and give it no more than a cursory glance and a roll of my eyes at the tackiness I perceived.

More recently I’ve noticed myself slowing down to take a look and experience myself giggling at the delightful feelings of lightness and joy the menagerie brings me whatever the weather.

I walk away from the garden with a spring in my step, feeling more positive and ready to face whatever’s around the corner (and that even includes my nemesis the Arriva bus drivers 🤣)

A lovely little reminder for me that when I change my thoughts I change my world 🌍
