This proves undeniably Broccolli is just the best food out there. This is Pania 2 yrs old....eat ya trees...!
Cruciferous vegetables such as broccolli are part of the same family as cauliflower, cabbage, garden cress, bok choy, brussels sprouts and similar.
In my opinion and from the research I have done both in my clinic and from the "books" when it comes to preventing cancer these guys are up there with the best. Cancer rates are about 1 in three today so come on people eat ya trees...!

How the sheep are led to slaughter. You must watch this.

We are told stuff and as most of us are good intentioned, caring people we believe what we are told. Unfortunately tho we all want to do well, be successful and survive which can sway even our greatest intentions and integrity. These are not bad people they are just people trying to make their way in the world via company directives, pressure from above via targets to be met etc etc. The truth is you cannot make the human body more effective, more healthy or repair it with toxic drugs. You can however suppress symptoms, offer a quick fix or satisfy an emotional need by believing the drug is going to help. It is well known throughout medical circles that the placebo (sugar pill) out performs the drug in over 95% of drug trials. One of my lecturers at college was a medical Dr and researcher who said to the pharmaceutical company he worked for "Let's market the placebo, we won't kill anyone and the patients will get better quicker" They refused and he soon left because he could not stomach what was going on any longer. The amazing thing about our culture is that we berate and severely reprimand any person who dares to speak out against the party line. The sheep quickly move in and soon they are hung drawn and quartered. Andrew Wakefield is one such example for speaking out about vaccines. The inaccuracies in the press which "prove" he was a charlatan are incredible and those who speak badly about him have not done due dilligence. It is easy to listen to one side of a coin. It is another thing to question our own actions and admit being wrong. I had all my vaccinations before going off to Africa for nine months. I came back to the UK and started my studies in Osteopathy and Naturopathy and had lecturers explaining the other side of the coin. My first reaction like most is denial. They wouldn't say this, do that, lie to me. After 25 years of treating Babies and hearing the stories from Mums and Dads, after examining the Babies myself and realising things had dramatically changed between now and my previous consultation. I was left with no other option but to question my previous choices. Even after feeling the changes in my body I still believed the vaccines to be correct. The impact on me was subtle compared to some. More tiredness, irritability, hangovers that would last two days instead of a morning. That I now understand was the impact on my liver. I'll never forget a conversation I had with my Nephew's GP when he was aged 2. My Sister decided not to vaccinate and the GP was offering a little pressure as they do and now we know why. My Sister introduced me as the Osteopathic brother which I'm sure he translated to Psychopathic, well they end the same. My Sister asked him to explain the vaccine conversation in front of me so I could translate the medical language which often confuses people. The GP refused to enter a debate and said simply we all have our opinions. As we left the room my Sister enquired if he was doing anything nice for Xmas and the answer was memorable for me. "Yes a nice company has paid for my family to go to Disneyland". This was from New Zealand by the way. I had to snigger and wanted so badly to ask if it was a pharmaceutical company by any chance. I didn't, I wimped out... aaaggghhhh...!
My point is at the end of the day we need to speak up. Not with our mouths but with our pockets. Stop the cycle of peddling drugs for profit. I know some out there in facebook land will be upset with me for being so blunt but hey it's time for us to wake up and smell the coffee. Aristotle said if you want to avoid criticism Say nothing, do nothing and be nothing. Well people I can honestly tell you that hearing the stories on the front line of these babies who react to vaccinations and some very seriously. What would you do? Speak up or hide under the covers? Of course I get the people who rebuke my claims until you ask them if they have seen it for their own eyes or just read about it. I had a nurse from Chelsea and Westminster hospital who worked in the TB ward who was one of my critics. I asked her to check how many of the patients with TB had been vaccinated. She came back wide eyed and apologetic. This stuff I am talking about is not from a news bulletin via a network who has affiliations with drug executives. It is not via a research paper that was paid by a pharmaceutical company. It is not a story I heard from Jack who heard it from Jill. These are my experiences and I stand by them and if you don't stand for something you will fall for anything. I can only pass the baton, you choose whether to run with it. Either way, good luck. Because no-one likes a movie with an unhappy ending.

It's bad.

Anyone having trouble sleeping?

The life we lead these days is pretty crazy. I had a month recently where I was working crazy hours and it really got a bit hectic and sleep was the main problem for me. So I sat down and gave it some thought, as I can do and after a bit of research learned a few things. Like I wasn't alone. You see with all this stimulation to our central nervous system we create all sorts of imbalances which affect moods, energy levels, hormones, digestion, s*x drive... the lot. The key to solving the sleep problem is understanding a few principles, too long to mention here but if you are interested let me know. Hope you are well and happy new year, rather belated I know....sorry. Craig
And I hope you are sleeping like our little friend here... bless.

Well hello people.

It's been a big change moving from the UK.

I am sorry for not updating the page but have been really busy.. honest. I wanted to let you know I have a couple of courses coming out in the new year. One is on sleep problems and the other Asthma so I still hope to add value to people's health. We have also moved down under to Ozzie. Ballina, it's about 9 hrs north of Sydney. It's hot and sunny and fun and beaches and the kids love it. Been really busy moving across the world which brings it's share of stress and confusion as you probably have guessed "where will we live" etc. But finally settling in and looking forward to a nice break in Kiwi for xmas. If anyone is in Kiwi around xmas let me know. And as far as work goes the powers that be have created too many hurdles for being an Osteopath and Acupuncturist so on top of the coaching work I've set up a new adventure. I'm creating movies...it's really good fun and I've done my own as Xmas presents for the last few years and now I do it for other people. Hope everyone is well and sorry for lack of contact but it's been pretty full on for last few months, especially in my head. Internet has also been tricky but now I'm fully contactable. Gotta go off and create some home movies now... have fun and have a great Xmas. Craig X

Research - Is it all it's cracked up to be?

Well not in my book, in fact 95% of it in my opinion, is a waste of time.
Let me explain...!

Outside of medicine we have various models of research but in medicine the gold standard is double blind placebo. Nothing else is recognised, I wonder why that is? Double blind placebo involves giving a new medication to one person and the other person gets a placebo (sugar pill). Neither of them are told which one is the real medication which is why it's called double blind. They are both in the dark. Ironically in most drug trials the placebo wins hands down which suggests the human brain by believing it is being helped is more powerful than most drugs. There has been much work done on this and the work of Bruce Lipton or Dr David Hamilton explain brilliantly how this is understood. How does an Osteopath or Acupuncturist use the double blind placebo research model? Do I adjust the wrong part of their body, put a needle in the wrong place? The BMA has told the Osteopathic Council that double blind is the only acceptable methodology, it's Gold Standard. Really? Gold Standard, that's the limit of your imagination and creativity. We can no longer use a one dimensional research model called double blind placebo that is focused on symptomatology alone. It doesn't work. It is far too linear it does not respect individuality and is based on using toxins which ironically then create other problems. How can you possibly have a medical model that suppresses one problem and creates another..... It's madness as the picture clearly highlights. The system needs to change and be far more flexible like many of our others. How can you measure a nutritional approach with the same criteria that is used for a physical or mental/emotional approach. Can we not see this system is designed so that we fit the research into the model instead of the research creating the model. Double blind placebo is a research design to fit the medication model of treatment. Surely we should design the research model to fir the ideal outcome for clarity. Suppression of a symptom does not suggest a drug is useful. What about the patient feeling better generally, or improved liver or kidney function, or vitality, or any other symptoms improving. If you have a drug that brings down your blood pressure but gives you a rash that drug is still deemed useful. The rash is just a "side effect". Are we serious..? Is that ok, do we accept that nonsense? Clearly we do. Every medical approach must have multifaceted benefits if it is to be deemed a useful approach. Suppressing a headache but causing liver damage is not a useful approach. What about things like blood toxicity, sleeping better etc why are these not measured or respected as part of the "success" protocol? It's crazy in my mind and the only way to improve the system is start asking the questions..? Questions like "what are the side effects?" "Are you ok with my liver being damaged?" "Do you know of any better option?" There is a huge difference between suppressing the body's communication which I suggest is called the symptom and helping the body heal. But while we believe in and use this model of research we will never get past a system that is very short sighted. I have relatives whose weekly medication could bring down a herd of elephants. These people are not well and there body still copes with all that extra work. I am confident I would become very ill on those drugs so how does a sick body cope? It's Coman Sense people, we need a new viewpoint.

Check out the experiment this kid did.

Organic or not. It's a choice for sure but this is just the tip of the iceberg unfortunately. Can we really justify cheaper food that is slowly killing us? These toxins are much worse then people think, they are going into the water systems and affecting the fish, the birds, the insects etc. Then affecting us again. It's insanity and people say "Craig is organic really better?". You choose.

A child's experiment turns into a lesson on the toxins in our food supply.

Do we really ask enough questions about new policy?
Have you noticed how a lot of the new policies that are introduced are only heard about after they are brought in. I am curious as to why that is? Check this one out. It's food for thought. Excuse the Pun.

Eat with your eyes for health.

People often remark to me how they eat very well. I then get them to do a dietary diary and am often shocked as to what we believe is a healthy diet today. There are many facets to a healthy diet and in the western culture we really only ever talk about fats, carbs and proteins. If you're lucky they may mention vitamins and minerals but maybe there is more to balancing your chemistry. I suggested to someone a few years ago to make sure they had at least four different colours on their plate at dinner time. Because different coloured foods have various different nutrients. Having a variety of colours is also pleasing to the eye and that tends to wake up our digestive juices. So long story short, today that person sent me this picture via Integrative Nutrition which I think is a good basic guide. Now before anyone crucifies me for suggesting that red foods will cure heart disease or something similar, that is not what the picture is saying. Those foods have simply been shown to help and support those areas of the body. As an Acupuncturist by the way the diagram is also accurate, so how did the Chinese know this stuff thousands of years ago, it's amazing...! All I am saying is keep the dinner plate colourful. It will make dinner look more enjoyable which will improve the efficiency of your digestive tract, it will provide a good variety of nutrients and from a Chinese medical viewpoint you will help create balance. Now all you have to do is try it and see, what's the worst that can happen?

Shoulder problem and the Thyroid
Had a client in with shoulder pain last week and although it felt 40% better for three days after treatment it went backwards again. Now I would suggest that if it goes backwards you have either aggravated it again or I have missed something. In this case it was me. I started looking beyond the shoulder and after 20 minutes I found it was related to the thyroid and a nutritional deficiency. The reason I knew that was because as I tested the muscle that was in pain I could change the power and strength by using the nutrition or the thyroid. Ok now that seems weird but my message is the body is very complex, we often look at a shoulder problem and think "that's a shoulder problem". No no no, it's a shoulder symptom and the sooner our culture wakes up to that the better off we will all be. Well that's my opinion....!
