There are many techniques used in the practice of Thai massage,
but the most important of all is the practitioners ability to listen.

We listen to the rhythm of your breath, the resistance in your muscles,
the subtle shifts within your body.

We notice where you guard, where you soften, where you are still holding on
and we respond to what your body communicates in each moment.

A steady, unhurried touch speaks in ways that voices cannot and in a world that is loud and constantly in motion, what we need is more subtle, quiet, intentional work.

Bodywork is about creating a safe space where we can soften and let go.

It’s not until we take up that space,
that we actually realise how much we need it.

The fire horse is a symbol of momentum.

Of becoming.

It calls us forward - courageous, driven and unwavering.

Conscious recovery is essential for us to sustain momentum 🌀

Through supported shapes, steady breath and gentle touch, the nervous system is invited out of urgency and into presence.

These restorative practices help us to stoke the inner fire - so it can burn steady, clear and with purpose.

Because choosing to rest doesn’t mean that we are stepping off the path - but strengthening our capacity to continue our journey.

Here, there is nothing to perform.

Nothing to achieve.

This is just a space to feel,

a space to simple be.

I spent a week in the woods.

It’s always been very elemental here, good job we don’t mind the rain.

This year I was part of the team - we built and created safe and international spaces to explore our inner being.

Thanks to my good friend and teacher, I was given the opportunity to hold Yoga Nidra workshops throughout the gathering.

It was a real pinch me moment to be sharing in a space that had lit a flame inside of me so many years ago.

We worshipped the trees and got sticky on the dance floor.

I drank many cups of tea with bugs in.

I nested in the damp grass at night to watch the stars.

Stepping into the new year with a little snow on my boots, I look across the white landscape and breathe in the crisp forest air.
Slowly, the days are becoming a little longer and I feel like a bug gently stretching out of its cocoon.

As I return to my mat after the winter festivities, time slows down and I am once again reminded that when I meet myself, my body and breath, I gift myself a safe space for introspection, reflection and stillness that my often busy mind needs.

This year, I am doing things differently. This year I am emerging slowly.

Our first Restorative Yoga and Thai bodywork session of the year is this weekend, Sunday 19th.

In these sessions we blend two practices together into a moving meditation, subtly increasing body awareness through ease and tranquility.

Through gentle shapes we allow the breath to move into parts of ourselves where we feel restriction and tension - inviting stagnant energy to unravel, transform and alchemise into something new.

Join us in our small group 2hr 30min sessions, where we guide you through a series of restorative poses and use gentle compressions and stretches to help you sink deeper. We explore and learn how breath moves, heals and guides us into quietness. Finishing the session with a herbal tea to fit for the season.
