New wellbeing group for antenatal mums!

In association with the Pandas Foundation (Pre And PostNatal Depression Advice and Support), a new group is going to be set up in Newport City Council with the aim to provide early, supportive intervention for antenatal women experiencing anxiety or emotional distress in a safe non-clinical space.

We kindly ask that you to complete a short form (🔗 link in comments) to register your interest and support our planning of the wellbeing group!

The primary focus is to normalise common emotional experiences during pregnancy, reduce anxiety with wellbeing focused support, encourage peer support and social connections and to increase confidence in individual coping mechanisms.

🩵Our first Postnatal Reformer Pilates class ran today — and honestly, it was so lovely to lead it.

There is something really special about watching women move again after pregnancy. To see the smiles, the relief, and the quiet confidence returning as bodies stretch, strengthen, and reconnect is exactly why I do what I do.

Postnatal Pilates supports recovery by gently rebuilding core strength, improving posture, easing aches and tension, and helping the body feel more balanced and supported again.

But more than anything today, it was the joy on their faces — that feeling of “I’m back in my body” — that stayed with me.

So grateful to everyone who came and shared the space today 🩵

Understanding Early Labour (aka) The Latent Phase.

Early labour, also known as the latent phase, is typically the longest stage of labour. During this time, your cervix begins to dilate up to 4cm, with contractions that can be irregular and vary in intensity.

Staying at home can be beneficial for comfort, but if you feel more secure in a hospital, that's perfectly okay too.

Your safety and calmness are paramount.

I hope this helps you prepare for early labour.

It’s still the same me, but with a brand new name and brand new direction. ✨

Whilst being on a little break i have had a lot of time to think about my little business. What my inspiration is to do it, and what is my why. My why is always the families i support. But there is also so much more too it than that.

There is so much to talk about, so over the next few days i will share a little video of my thoughts and reasons behind my rebrand ✨

I will also apologise now as a lot of my background images will be of my wedding, because why the hell not. 😂🫶✨ Completely off topic but they deserve being shared everywhere and anywhere for the next few months.

Standing on a beach today and having a moment of gratitude for my life. I thought to myself, why is it i do what i do now?

I do it because YOUR BIRTH MATTERS. ✨

Everyone’s birth matters. No matter what.

I don’t label my “job” as a “job”, because that just doesn’t feel right. My “role” is to support you in the lead up to your birth, helping you understand the important parts of labour and birth. Support you to feel confident to advocate for yourself. Share with you techniques that can support you through pregnancy, birth and beyond. I will be there to point you to useful resources and professionals if you need them.

Because your birth matters, it’s my pleasure to be able to share all of this with you, and sooo much more! ✨
