Earwax build up occurs when excess ear wax accumulates in the ear canal and becomes to hard to be removed naturally. Most people's ears naturally drain away wax as its being produced. A build up can cause pain, hearing loss and dizzy spells. Impacted ear wax is commonly caused when using cotton buds which push the wax deeper into the ear, instead of removing it.
