💉💉💉INFORMATION REGARDING VACCINES💉💉💉

The MenB (Bexsero®) vaccine was introduced into the UK routine childhood immunisation programme in September 2015. Infants born after this date are routinely offered vaccination to help protect against meningococcal group B disease.
The MenB vaccine has also been available on a private basis since its introduction and remains accessible privately.
Please note that the vaccination offered to adolescents through the school-based programme protects against meningococcal groups A, C, W, and Y (MenACWY), and does not provide protection against MenB.
At present, there is no catch-up programme available for individuals who did not receive the MenB vaccine in infancy. This position may be reviewed in response to any future changes in disease patterns or outbreaks.
