In the scriptures, it’s said that when cows hear the holy names -
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare….
they become joyful, their hearts purified, and the whole atmosphere becomes blessed.

The sound of the mantra sanctifies the land, the air, and all living beings nearby. Even the cows, with their pure hearts, naturally respond, making such moments deeply auspicious. 🌿🐄✨

A lull this weekend, but last weekend, members of Kirtan Highland l were lucky enough to head down to Karuna Bhavan Temple - Iskcon Scotland to celebrate Janmastami, Krishna's appearance day, on the Saturday and then Prabhupada's appearance day on the Sunday.

The Saturday involved fasting until midnight, with lots of kirtan and association with devotees and we were privileged and honoured to be able to lead some chanting to the beautiful deities of Sri Sri Khoda Nitai Mayapur Sasi.

On the Sunday, beautiful offerings were made to Srila Prabhupada, with very individual and moving words.

A very beautiful weekend and we're glad that members of Kirtan Highland could be part of it 🙏
