Woodside had a lot of fun this week trying to create a few Christmas button figures.

After a few disastrous attempts at making a Father Christmas—mostly by Lesley Faccini, our Wellbeing Co-ordinator—things took a funny turn when the figure slipped through her fingers, just as she was about to tie it tightly, sending buttons rolling all over the floor!

The Father Christmas was eventually abandoned till another day.

Woodside had much more success building two cheerful snowmen. Quite apt as some of Wales has had snow today!

But that’s the joy of Woodside's activity sessions—it’s never just about the end result. It’s about the laughter, the participation, and the socialising along the way.

It’s been another non-stop, fun-filled and exciting week!

Woodside's activity schedule has offered craft classes, quizzes, reminiscence sessions, music, and plenty of dancing.

An A–Z guessing game also turned into a lovely reminiscence session when the theme was “things you would find in your house.”

As we know, our memories are precious and truly meaningful.

At Woodside, we strive to offer activities that are personalised, meaningful, and enriching for everyone.

The days are drawing closer for Woodside to attend a local fete at the end of this month!

Our Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Lesley, is cracking the whip as everyone works hard to create as many handmade items as possible.

In a recent craft session, Styrofoam circles and hearts were wrapped with colourful wool.

Woodside must admit—they turned out beautifully!

Christmas decorations will soon be added to give them their final festive touch.

Keep an eye out for the finished results!

Woodside welcomed its hairdresser last week!

The ladies enjoyed a relaxing shampoo, cut, and blow-dry, while the gentlemen were treated to a smart razor haircut.

There is nothing better than feeling pampered—everyone left the salon looking and feeling wonderful.

Woodside holds reminiscence sessions on all kinds of different themes.

Musical reminiscence is always a favourite—especially when the singers are from one’s own era.

This week, Woodside enjoyed watching a young Tom Jones on our large TV, performing “Delilah” and other well-known hits.

His music certainly transported one back to the “green, green grass of home.”

One could not resist a dance or two!

Woodside is buzzing with work-in-progress projects as we gear up for our Christmas Fête next month!

All hands are on deck, creating wonderful handmade crafts.

But perhaps the best part? Setting up the display tables and showcasing everyone's hard work and creativity.

You’re never too old to learn something new — and here at Woodside, we’re always eager to grow our minds and expand our talents!

Through the windows, we see the leaves on the trees turning beautiful shades of yellow and brown—a sure sign that winter is on its way.

Woodside Decorates Its Walls with Personalised Photographs!

Life at Woodside is as unique as each individual who lives here.
Throughout the day, we offer a wide variety of activities tailored to everyone’s hobbies and interests.

Thanks to the help of many willing hands, Woodside has created a beautiful new display board!
It features a wonderful collection of photographs capturing everyone enjoying different activities and outings to local venues.

There were so many fantastic moments to choose from, it was a challenge deciding which ones to include!

It's always exciting to see a project come together😁
