There is lots of information online about Human Papillomavirus and the HPV vaccination, but these facts remain:

Immunisation remains the best protection.

A single dose can give you protection against different forms of cancer.

It's offered to boys and girls in year 8 at school.

These vaccinations are not routinely offered by your GP practice to this age group.

It's routinely given to this age group before they become sexually active so that they are protected before they potentially come into to contact with the virus.

If your child is in year 8 at school in Leeds, look out for the consent/refusal online form and submit your consent or refusal straight away!
