“Cheat days” are usually planned breaks from your diet plan. Rewarding yourself with scheduled breaks may actually help you stick to your plan, build better habits, and achieve long-term success. No matter what plan you are on, you should include meals that you can look forward to, helping make your plan more sustainable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There is no rule on how many cheat days you should have or even if you decide between a cheat meal or day. Mainly, it depends on what your goals are. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s so easy for your cheat day to become a cheat weekend, and then a cheat week. Before you know it, you are back to your old eating habits 🤦🏻‍♀️ It is important to understand what is going to help you stay motivated.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🌟MEET JULIE 🌟
Julie has been on our plan now for 13 weeks ! She started week 1 weighing 67.6kg, of which 26.2kg was body fat meaning a body fat percentage of 42.2%.

After 13 weeks Julie has lost 5.3kg of weight. Even more impressive is that she has lost 6.9kg of fat. Meaning that Julie has actually increased her muscle mass by 1.1kg, more muscle means more water volume which has increased 0.5L during her 13 weeks.

As you can see Julie lost a steady amount of body fat every 2weeks. This is not a crash diet, it is an individualised program put together for Julie to get the best results possible whilst maintaining or even building muscle mass.

Julie now weighs 62.3kg, has 19.3kg of bodyfat which means she now sits at 31% body fat. An incredible 11.2% loss.

🌟MEET JORDAN 🌟
“I never really felt hungry at all whilst on the plan, it’s easy to follow and understand and it’s something I’ll continue with until I reach my goal of sub 100kg.”

Jordan has been on our plan now for 10 weeks ! He started week 1 weighing 126.8kg, of which 51.2kg was body fat meaning a body fat percentage of 39.8%.

When you're starting or progressing through your health and fitness journey, remember that optimal health comes in many shapes and sizes and is not just determined by the weight on the scale. We should most importantly focus on your overall state of health.

Visceral fat is a special kind of belly fat that is hidden deep inside your abdomen and surrounds your inner organs. Unlike surface level fat, it’s not easy to see how much visceral fat someone has just by looking at them!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Everyone has some visceral fat, but too much of it can increase the risk of serious health issues! Unlike the organs that you were born with, visceral fat actively works from the inside out to sabotage those organs and disrupt your bodily functions.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Knowing your body composition will give you a much better idea about your amount of visceral fat than BMI can. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BMI cannot determine if you are lean, overweight, or somewhere in between—it’s all just vague numbers. It also cannot tell you how much visceral fat you’re carrying!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

However, if you exercise, watch your calories, and live a generally healthy lifestyle, you’re going to avoid gaining too much visceral fat! 😄
