A fantastic success story for Graham Engineering Ltd and an inspiring milestone for Tyler Manton.

After facing redundancy, Tyler made the courageous decision to return to education and invest in his future. At 32, he completed the Skills Bootcamp in Welding at Burnley College, and that determination has paid off in a big way.

Tyler is now thriving in a fast‑paced, technically challenging role where he’s already putting his new skills to work and building a career he’s passionate about.

Skills Bootcamps are fully funded, flexible programmes designed to help people retrain, upskill and step confidently into new opportunities. Tyler’s journey shows exactly what’s possible when talent, ambition and the right training come together.

A brilliant achievement and a great example of industry and education working hand in hand to create real impact.

Great to have you as part of Tyler.

🤝 Hands-On Innovation with TWI NorthWest and Fronius Welding.

Yesterday we hosted a focused technical session as part of the TWI NorthWest Branch, welcoming the team from Fronius on site to showcase their latest welding equipment.

It was a fantastic opportunity to get up close with their latest Fortis welding equipment and test out its capabilities firsthand. While the virtual simulator sparked debate (some still prefer the traditional feel!), it was clear this is a powerful tool for training and development in the welding sector.

Our team got hands-on, learning about the latest technology and gaining valuable experience with new methods.

A big thank you to Fronius for the demo and to the TWI NorthWest Branch members who joined us – great to connect and share knowledge.

Congratulations to:

Jayden Fitton
Oliver Taylor
Michael Windle
Louise Berry
Wesley Beale

From CNC machining to welding, these apprentices have developed strong technical foundations that support some of the UK’s most highly regulated industries. Their success reflects not only their own dedication, but also the importance of investing in people and providing real opportunities to grow.

We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and excited to see where their careers take them next.
