Following the Scent since 1974... Riding with DragHounds is a thrilling sport which SHOULD NOT be confused with Fox Hunting/Trail Hunting.

With DragHounds, a pack of Hounds follow a Scent laid by a human rather than pursuing a live quarry. The Line is laid over a pre-determined route to take advantage of the best opportunities for seeing the hounds work as well as jumping all obstacles offered by the country crossed. Our DragHounds are descended from the Dumfriesshire Line of Hounds and have been bred for over 15 generations to follow a Drag Scent. We are are proud members of the Masters of DragHounds and BloodHounds Association (MDBA) and are NOT affiliated in any way with the British Hound Sports Association (BHSA).

We are very pleased to announce two brand new locations to our meet card this season. First up
this coming Sunday we make our way to the other side of the Ridgeway to hunt in Catmore part of the Hendred Estate. This meet is set to

Later this month we then travel north to return for the first time in a long time to Stowell Park. This is a truly epic estate crossed by a couple of other packs therefore providing fantastic jumping opportunities alongside varied natural obstacles. It has been a busy Sunday for our joint masters!

Andrew van Oostrum hosted a hound exercise from kennels - great to see a big group of followers! A nice eight mile loop for our black and tans too.

Meanwhile Victoria Ruffy was planning our brand new meet at Catmore with the help of her daughter Grace. They mapped a good 13 mile route which they completed in two hours. Tired ponies tonight!

We are thrilled to be hosting our Ladies Day at Rowles Farm - West Ilsley, by very kind invitation of the Carlisle family.

🍳🥐☕️ We will be hosting breakfast at 11am

🥂 A mid way drink and…

🫖🍰🥪 An afternoon tea style hunt tea afterwards plus lots of awards and prizes!

🌳 This is an excellent Meet in an exceptionally beautiful part of country. Lines will be across old turf crossing the Carlilse family farm and surrounding land. Plenty of timber and rails and views for MILES However all jumping is entirely optional.
