Abida, Chiropractor at Natural Health Centre Newbury says:
"Low back pain is one of the most common conditions I see as a Chiropractor. Prolonged sitting, lifting, changes in activity, and everyday stress all place load on the lower back and hips. These areas not only work hard physically, but also tend to hold a lot of tension and emotional stress, which can lead to increased tightness, sensitivity, and reduced movement. Low back pain can also manifest in many different ways; from stiffness and aching, to sharp pain, one sided discomfort, or pain referring into the hips or legs.
When I assess low back pain, I look beyond where it hurts and focus on how the body is moving as a whole. Chiropractic care aims to remove nerve interferences, thereby improving movement, reducing tension, and helping the back and hips become stronger and more resilient. Gentle movement is usually more helpful than prolonged rest and early assessment can prevent recurring flare-ups from becoming ongoing problems. Low back pain is common, but with the right approach, it’s very treatable."
