I presented a workshop today at Keele University Counselling conference to a small but engaging group of counselling students & staff.
We talked about Calm Club, our vision for intentionally creating a place of belonging and "radical unconditional positive regard."
I used a Spongebob clip to demonstrate "the double empathy problem" and "percieved rejection."
We made magical monocles to look through a neuro-affirming lens and Selfred had some wise advice about showing our true colours to attract the right crowd.
We ended with the Harry Baker Poem, "Unashamed."
