May is Stroke Awareness month. If you suspect you or a loved one is experiencing signs of a stroke it is important to act FAST. Early action and medical intervention can help lessen the devastating impact a stroke can have.

FAST quickly identifies the three most common signs of stroke:

FACE WEAKNESS - Can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped?
ARM WEAKNESS - Can the person raise both arms fully and keep them there?
SPEECH PROBLEMS - Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say? Is their speech slurred?
TIME TO CALL 999 - if you notice any of these signs of a stroke call 999 immediately.

This skin cancer awareness month make sure that you learn whats normal for your skin so that you can detect something abnormal early.

It’s Skin Cancer Awareness Month. To spot skin cancer early, it helps to know how your skin normally looks. That way, you'll notice any changes more easily.

Talk to your doctor if you notice any of these symptoms, or anything else unusual for you. In most cases, it won’t be cancer – but if it is, getting diagnosed early when treatment is more likely to be successful can make all the difference.
