How often during a massage do you find yourself thinking, “I didn’t realise how much tension I was holding—maybe in a muscle, a limb, or a specific area”? Often, this tension stems from past injuries or trauma where you unknowingly kept your body in constant stress or hold. Your brain adapts to this new state, accepting the tension as normal. This buildup of tension restricts movement, shortens muscles, and slows blood flow. Signals are sent to the brain, which responds with pain, urging you to move or seek therapy. This is where I come in. As a therapist, I will target these areas, helping you discover that your “hold” has another place to be, unblocking, creating space, relieving pain and discomfort. Helping you move more freely.
